Upgrade and migration
IAmAnArtist.com had decided to upgrade their existing website. This included upgarding from .Net version 1.1 to .Net 2.0. as well as migrating their database from Oracle to MSSQL. The challenges were studied and solutions and worked out.
The Portal Idea
Also they wanted a complete overhaul of their website by making it appear like a portal which would be a one stop gateway for diverse streams like freelancing and online auctions with their already offered services to artists. We began with studying the earlier website which included looking at various aspects of functionality and data.
Simultaneously we started working on the new functionality. We looked at various ideas in auction world and cam up with live auctions which brings in the concept of pay per click while enjoying the online world of auctions. We then moved over to freelancing solutions and devised an entire process where outsourcing would be possible through an online process. In both the areas we worked out the entire business flow which was then presented to the client. IamAnArtist business team was really ecstatic over the brilliant solutions provided and gave a go ahead for developing the entire portal.
